Oklahoma City, Okla. (Feb. 28, 2024) – Oklahoma Complete Health, a care management organization serving the needs of Oklahomans with health insurance solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), has customized the Children’s Specialty Program to improve the physical health and behavioral health outcomes of foster care and adoptive populations.
The program is designed for:
· Children in foster care.
· Young adults (18-26) who aged out of foster care.
· Juvenile justice-involved children.
· Children and families receiving adoption assistance.
· Eligible American Indian/Alaskan Native members.
“The Children’s Specialty Program is tailored to address the unique needs and experiences of these families,” said Children’s Specialty Program Vice President Nichole Burland. “The program offers comprehensive care solutions and extra benefits which play a pivotal role in empowering members to thrive and stay healthy.”
Families receiving adoption assistance and eligible American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) members must opt in to and choose The Children’s Specialty Program to get the care and extra benefits. The plan coordinates care for eligible children and supports families as their needs evolve. The program offers benefits such as:
· My Health Pays rewards for annual screenings, tests and more.
· $150 care grant to use for anything supporting member wellbeing. For example, prom attire, club sports, culturally appropriate haircare, etc.
· Over-the-counter benefits of $50 per quarter per household to buy items like cold medicines, vitamins, first aid care and more.
